• The Grenoble WTC conference site can be reached easily

• Direct access by train, or by shuttle buses from Lyon and Grenoble airports

• Marie Curie Cryocourse-Grenoble 2010 will cover your travel and staying expenses, within reasonable limits, during the period August 1st -8th in Grenoble. There will be no registration fees.

• Reimbursement will require sending us the original airline and bus tickets, the flight coupons, hotel bills, restaurant bills, etc. after the Conference. The lunches and the banquet are free for Cryocourse participants.

• For reimbursement, you should send us your Bank ID (IBAN & SWIFT codes), preferably scanned from a banking document, to avoid transcription errors. Complete the form ("FICHE") downloadable here)

• Please send us a scanned copy of your passport (or personal ID for EU citizens).

Researchers interested in joining the 2010 Cryocourse (see first : dates, programme, cost, financial support pages of this Web site) should contact us. A Registration form will be sent (see below). It should be filled and returned before June 1st., if possible, and anyway before July 1st., to :

The final answer regarding registration of candidates will be given before July 7th. after selection of the candidates by the International advisory committee.

Important dates and deadlines :

Cryoconference Grenoble 2010 :

Arrival in Grenoble : August 1st., 2010 (17:00).
Departure from Grenoble : August 7 th., 2010 (morning).

Registration :

Registration will be definitely closed on July 1st.

•Cryocourse is an intensive course on Cryophysics and Cryogenics, organised within the Marie Curie program of the European Union. It covers the science and technology of Low Temperatures.

•Cryoconference 2010 is an event organised in addition to the original program (see main page) with the remaining budget.

•About 30 students, mainly PhD and Post-docs from European universities, Research centres and Industry, will gather in the Grenoble area (south-east of France ), from August 1st (afternoon) to September 7 th. (morning), 2010.

•Presentations (mainly posters) by the young researchers participating to the Cryoconference will cover the main topics of Cryogenics, from the fundamental physics to the industrial applications.

•Presentations are given in English. Group discussions in several European languages are encouraged, when possible.

•The participants' selection procedure will take into account the quality of the candidates applications and their need for a specific training in low temperatures, as well as more general criteria as gender, age and nationality balance.

•Students may be eligible for total or partial financial support (Marie Curie EC Programme).

•The participants MUST be present for the whole duration of the event.

Register Online including lunch (06/08/2010) and banquet (5th august evening).

Payment can be made online using major credit cards or by bank transfer (see however special instructions if you work for a French institution covering your expenses).

We only accept checks drawn on a French bank and payable in Euros.

On-site registration is also available with payment by credit card or check.

It is possible to change or revise your registration before July 1 including : lunch and banquet. The participant's registration fee is not refundable.

Registration Instructions

Registration should be made on-line. Follow accurately the procedure described below :

1) Pre-registration : click here Register Online and complete the form.

Select your “Tarification” option (Frenglish word meaning « category »). At this stage, you have two choices : « Participant registration fee » or « Student registration fee ».

2) You will receive a confirmation mail with instructions on how to finalize registration and proceed to payment. Follow the link. The final “Tarification” (category) including the support that QFS2010 could provide is indicated.

3) Complete the form, including your selection of supplements :

a) Lunch for 06/08/2010 (recommended). The lunch bag contains a quality sandwich prepared by a “traiteur”, a dessert and a bottle of mineral water.

b) Party and Social Banquet at the "Château du Touvet". Includes transportation and visit of the castle.

c) Accompanying person, Banquet : use this payment option only for one accompanying person. Contact us for other arrangements (qfs2010.contact@grenoble.cnrs.fr).

4) If you chose to pay by credit card, you will receive by e-mail the credit card ticket and a receipt. For bank transfer of check payment, an e-mail receipt will be sent to you.

5) For CNRS participants : tick the “CNRS personnel” box in the Pre-registration form, and choose payment by BANK TRANSFER. You will receive a “pre-bon de commande”, to be given to your local CNRS administration.
